Team Data Booster celebrating second place at the Dutch semi-finals of the GESAwards - Global EdTech Startup Awards

A 2nd-place finish in the Dutch semi-finals of the GESAwards puts Data Booster among the country's leading EdTech startups.

Recognised among the Netherlands' leading EdTech startups

Data Booster has been recognised as one of the leading EdTech startups in the Netherlands, taking second place in the Dutch semi-finals of the GESAwards — the Global EdTech Startup Awards, one of the largest competitions for education-technology companies in the world.

The GESAwards bring together promising EdTech ventures from dozens of countries, with national and regional heats surfacing the startups best positioned to shape the future of learning. Finishing near the top of the Dutch field places Data Booster among the companies driving that change at home.

A strong Dutch field

The Dutch semi-finals gathered a diverse group of education innovators, from academic research to the classroom. Data Booster shared the stage with team MemoryLab, led by Hedderik, and team Kalaidu, led by Bart Giethoorn and Jeroen Ida Snijdewint — each approaching better learning from a different angle.

Where much of EdTech focuses on schools and students, Data Booster works with organisations to build data & AI capability across the workforce: hands-on, role-specific upskilling that helps professionals actually apply data and AI in their day-to-day work.

A mandate for data & AI upskilling

“The Netherlands has loads of work to do in data & AI upskilling, and Data Booster is in a position to make it happen.”

That was the jury's verdict — from Ata Şenkon, Diane Janknegt, Jeffrey Williams and Victoria Ous — and it captures why the recognition matters. As data and AI reshape how organisations work, the gap between the skills teams have and the skills they need keeps widening.

Closing that gap is Data Booster's mission, and this result is both an honour and a fresh dose of motivation — for our team and for the customers and partners building it with us. Now it's back to work, helping more organisations prepare their people for the future of work.
