The session where it lands

90 minutes of applying the training to your own work.

Data Booster training session

Online learning gets people to “I understand this”. A Live Booster session gets them to “I did this with my own data, this morning”.

What it is

A Live Booster session is a 90-minute facilitated working session for one cohort, run by a Data Booster expert. Not a lecture: everyone arrives with a real task from their day-to-day — a case, a question, a decision — and the session is built around applying the course concepts to it.

Three things happen. A worked example sets the pattern. Small breakout groups exchange examples, obstacles and solutions, which is where a shared way of working across the cohort actually forms. And a share-back turns it into a concrete next step per person.

It is also where the questions surface that nobody types into a chat: is this actually allowed, why does my number differ from the one in the report, how do I explain this to my manager. Sessions typically sit at the midpoint and near the end of a cohort, when the theory is fresh and the questions are real.

How it works

  1. Pick the moment — right after a module, when people have just enough knowledge to get stuck.
  2. Bring your own work — participants come with something they actually have to deliver.
  3. Work, don't watch — the facilitator coaches; the group builds.
  4. Close the loop — what came up feeds back into the courses and the next session.

Why this works

  • Applying it once beats watching it three times
  • Real traction from a live, time-based intervention
  • Self-paced learning supplemented with a live component that brings it home
  • Learners build a shared way of working, not just individual skills

In practice

90 minutes, per cohort

Booked per cohort, as one-offs or as a series alongside a program. In a typical twelve-week cohort we run two — around week four and week eleven, when the theory is fresh and people have just enough knowledge to get stuck. Learners bring their own case; they leave with it moved forward.
